XStructuring is the name under which I, Birgit Strackenbrock, work as freelancer since 2011.
Expertise
I’m an information engineer and as such an excellent link between business and IT. I have a wide range of knowledge and experience with drafting content models and structuring content. My expertise is in these areas: content/information analysis, XML, DITA, DITA L&T, DITA specializations, XML-schema development, XML-mappings for conversions and DITA OT (XSL-T, XSL-FO).
I am active in the OASIS DITA TC Learning &Training.
Experience
Before coming to The Netherlands, for six years I have worked in Germany for several publishers as editor, project manager and XML-key user. Since 2001 I have specialized in linking editorial and technical aspects of content creation and publishing processes. My focus lies on the technical process, XML and topic based writing. Before starting freelance with XStructuring, I have worked as information analyst and consultant for Daidalos B.V. and iCtrl B.V.

Procedure
I give advice on content and XML-cases and I make content and information analysis. In addition here to I use my substantive knowledge about XML, DITA and QTI to help my clients get there content creation processes ready for the future and ready to work with XML.Also I can help transfer existing content to new structures or I can help supply the desired/necessary XML-format.
Hiring and rates
I work posting- and project based. Depending on the assignment and course of action I charge an hourly rate or a fixed price.
